Production Assistant, ProAmpac Flexible Packaging
The University of Washington Master of Supply Chain Transportation & Logistics program (MSCTL) has selected first-year student Trosteen Mokollie as the recipient of the $5,000 Matson, Inc., Diversity & Equity in Supply Chain Scholarship for 2023.
Trosteen, who hails from the Kpelle people of north-central Liberia, earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration-accounting from the University of Liberia, and has worked in warehousing and inventory management for 10 years.
An advocate for social justice, Trosteen has also contributed his expertise in accounting and logistics to humanitarian and local environmental organizations that work to protect human rights and advance social and environmental justice across Liberia.
Trosteen is currently a production assistant for ProAmpac Flexible Packaging in Auburn, Wash., and says he’s pursuing a master’s degree in supply chain and logistics to improve his knowledge of supply chain networks and automated systems during times of change and global challenge.
“I want to understand the economics of supply and its impact on global markets,” Trosteen says. “I am fascinated and upbeat about supply chain professions. My goal is to learn the science of supply chain, transportation and logistics so as to assist me in making informed decisions in my career path as I strive to grow in this profession.”
